§ Mr. Nicholas Wintertonasked the Secretary of State for Trade what representations he has received from British shirt manufacturers concerning the level of imports of ready-made shirts from Taiwan and Hong Kong.

§ Mr. Nicholas Wintertonasked the Secretary of State for Trade (1) whether he is satisfied with the current level of imports of ready-made shirts from Hong Kong;
(2) whether he is satisfied with the current level of imports of ready-made shirts from Taiwan:
(3)whether he will use the powers available to him to restrict the current level if imports of ready made shirts from Taiwan and Hong Kong.
§ Mr. Eric DeakinsQuotas were imposed last year on shirts of all types from Taiwan, and our imports from this source in 1976 will be substantially reduced from 1975 levels.
Following the conclusion of the GATT multi-fibre arrangement imports of shirts of all types from Hong Kong are now subject to quota, and our imports are likely to be lower this year than in 1975.
