§ Mr. Rossiasked the Secretary of State for the Environment how many court working days were taken up in magistrates' courts in 1973, 1974 and 1975 in dealing with cases for the non-payment of road fund licences; what costs these cases added to the cost of administration of justice in those years; and what was the percentage of successful recovery by the courts in cases where payment was ordered in the years 1973, 1974 and 1975.
§ Mr. MarksI would refer the hon. Member to my reply on Wednesday 11th February 1976.—[Vol. 905, c.216.] No record is kept of the number of court working days spent on cases arising from alleged non-payment of vehicle excise duty, of the cost of such cases as a proportion of the total cost of administering justice, or of the extent to which payments ordered by the courts are actually made.
