§ Mr. Alisonasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department, having regard to the effect on the Obscene Publications Act of the recent decision in R. v. Hanau, if Her Majesty's Government will take steps to fulfil the United Kingdom's obligations under Article 1 of the International Convention for the Suppression of the Circulation of and Traffic in Obscene Publications, signed by the United Kingdom in 1947 and to which some 50 States adhere.
§ Mr. Roy JenkinsI have no reason to believe that the United Kingdom is not fulfilling its obligations under the International Convention.
