Mr. Robin F. Cook

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland (1) what was the gross amount and number of advances made for house purchase in 1972–73, 1973–74 and 1974–75 by each district and island authority in Scotland or the authorities which they have succeeded;

(2) what was the gross amount and number of advances made for house improvement in 1972–73, 1973–74 and 1974–75 by each district and island authority in Scotland or the authorities which they have succeeded.
