§ Mr. Gouldasked the Minister of Overseas Development what view Her Majesty's Government take towards the proposals being put forward by deevloping countries for consideration at the fourth UNCTAD.
§ Mr. PrenticeHer Majesty's Government are at present in the process of formulating, in consultation with our Community partners, our policy for the fourth UNCTAD to take place in Nairobi in May. The United Nations Seventh 247W Special Session in New York last September gave a new and constructive impetus to the international dialogue on development co-operation. It will be our objective to build on this, and in particular to develop the theme of world economic interdependence which my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister emphasised at last May's meeting of Commonwealth Heads of Government in Kingston, Jamaica.
