§ Mr. Kilfedderasked the Secretary of State for Northern what facilities are available for the storing of beef, mutton and pork in Northern Ireland; and if he is satisfied that these facilities are adequate to meet whatever demands are likely to be made upon them in 1976.
§ Mr. Merlyn ReesIn Northern Ireland there are eight cold stores which can store beef, mutton and pigmeat to the standards required by the EEC directives on intra-Community trade in meat and the EEC regulations on the support buying of beef and pigmeat. These stores can hold up to 10,500 tons of bone-in carcase meat or 14,000 tons of boneless boxed meat.
