HC Deb 09 February 1976 vol 905 cc28-9W
Mr. Hooley

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what information he has about the mental and physical health of Paul Glover, a British citizen held by the Israeli authorities in Ramallah gaol; when the British Consul last visited Mr. Glover; and what progress is being made with his request for a free pardon.

Mr. Ennals

On medical examination last November Mr. Glover was reported in good health. He was visited by a clergyman in January and by the consul on 5th February. Their reports do not suggest that there has been any deterioration in his general physical or mental condition.

Mr. Glover recently petitioned for a Presidential pardon. This petition has been refused.
