HC Deb 09 February 1976 vol 905 cc73-4W
Mr. Loveridge

asked the Secretary of State for Prices and Consumer Protection what is the total cost in the current year of the Consumer Protection Advisory Council; and what is the number of staff.

Mr. Alan Williams

The staff of the Consumer Protection Advisory Commit- tee which was created by the previous administration in 1973 consists of four officers of my Department, one part-time, who also have other responsibilities. The cost of their work for the Committee cannot be separately identified. Members of the Committee are entitled to travelling and other expenses which have so far amounted to about £1,300 in the 1975–76 financial year.
