HC Deb 04 February 1976 vol 904 c597W
Mr. Golding

asked the Secretary of State for Industry how many Post Office orders for telecommunications equipment have not been delivered on time; and what is the average length of delay.

Mr. Gregor Mackenzie

The Post Office tells me that, at December 1975, about 500 of its current contracts for exchange equipment were in delay for reasons attributable to its contractors, and the average delay on such contracts was about six months.
