§ Mr. Skeet
asked the Secretary of State for Energy if he will indicate the estimated output of nuclear electricity as a percentage of total power produced in 1985 according to current and revised programmes applicable to all EEC countries.

§ Mr. Benn
On 17th December 1974 the Council agreed energy objectives 499W which included the installation of nuclear capacity of at least 160 Giga Watts (electrical), and, if possible, of 200 GWe by 1985, but which did not include objectives for total power production. The Council has not subsequently revised these objectives.
