asked the Secretary of State for Prices and Consumer Protection what is the total cost of her Department; and how many people are employed in it.

Mr. Alan Williams

Expenditure by my Department on salaries and administrative costs, including allied services, is expected to be £3.2 million in 1975–76, and the number of staff in post on 1st January 1976 was 377. This includes 62 staff at the Metrication Board.
