§ 28. Mr. Viggersasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he currently has any proposals to strengthen the links between the United Kingdom and Turkey.
§ Dr. OwenWe are satisfied that the existing links between our two Governments, deriving from our common membership of NATO and CENTO and Turkey's Associate Membership of the EEC, are soundly based. However, Her Majesty's Government are always looking for ways of expanding and strengthening these links.
