HC Deb 21 December 1976 vol 923 c160W
Mr. Ted Fletcher

asked the Secretary of State for Employment into which category the Food, Drink and Tobacco Industry Training Board fell when making a final settlement in the 1975–76 pay policy year: (a) increments paid in full with other allowable pay increases, (b) increments paid in full but offset against other allowable pay increases, and, if so, what proportion was offset, (c) a proportion of the full increment paid, and, if so, what proportion was so paid, or (d) no increments paid although due under the incremental system.

Mr. Harold Walker

For the staff of the Food, Drink and Tobacco Industry Training Board merit increases are reviewed each year to take effect from 1st April.

No such increases were paid on 1st April 1976, however, because payments up to the limits allowed under the pay policy had already been made.
