§ Mr. Cartwrightasked the Secretary of State for Prices and Consumer Protection if he is now in a position to evaluate the success of his efforts to reduce injuries caused by fireworks.
§ Mr. John FraserAs I told my hon. Friend on 15th November—[Vol. 919, c. 379]—it is not possible to evaluate accurately the success of the measures taken this year until the statistics of firework injuries become available, probably in February. However, a number of local authorities throughout England and Wales have now reported their general impressions of the effectiveness of the measures, which are favourable.
