Q14. Mr. Hooley

asked the Prime Minister if he will invite the CPRS to make a special study of the consequences for education and social services of the sharp decline in the birth rate in the United Kingdom from a peak of 1,000,000 in the 1960s to below 700,000 in 1975.

The CPRS is already engaged on such a study which it expects to present to Ministers early next year.
