§ 27. Mr. Tebbitasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will list the total amount of debt per head of the population of the United Kingdom which he has incurred through internal and external borrowings, together with the corresponding amounts outstanding when he took offce in 1974.
§ Mr. Joel BarnettStatistics of outstanding public sector debt are compiled only in respect of 31st March each year. On 31st March 1974 it is estimated to have been £950 per head, net borrowing in the 2½ years since then has amounted to about £425 per head.
§ 37. Mr. Croninasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what steps he is taking to obtain another loan from international sources to replace the International Monetary Fund loan when it has been spent.
