§ Mr. Eldon Griffithsasked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will list the number of men and women registered as unemployed in the Bury St. Edmunds, Newmarket, Haverhill and Mildenhall districts; and if industrial action by civil servants makes it impracticable to provide up-to-date figures, if he will give his best estimate as at 1st December.
§ Mr. GoldingThe following table shows the numbers of males and females registered as unemployed on October 1976 in the areas specified. Because of industrial action by some staff in the Department of Employment Group information for November is not available and I do not have an estimate of the numbers unemployed on 1st December for these areas.
