§ Mr. Graham Pageasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he intends to make an order removing the confusion to which the Joint Committee on Statutory Instruments called attention in their 29th Report of last Session (HC 54-xli), caused by the failure of the Corn Returns Act 1882 (Amendment of Units) Order 1976 to make explicit the need in the recalculation of prices to recalculate averages antedating the change from the ton, which is 2,240 imperial standard pounds, to the metric tonne, which is 1,000 kilograms.
