HC Deb 13 December 1976 vol 922 c487W
Mr. Sillars

asked the Secretary of State for Energy how many supply boats are now operating in the English sector of the North Sea in supplying the offshore gas industry; and of these how many were built in United Kingdom shipyards.

Dr. J. Dickson Mabon

The United Kingdom Continental Shelf is one. There are seven supply boats at present regularly working in the southern North Sea basin opposite the mainland of England; of these, four were built in the United Kingdom.
