§ Mr. KaufmanOne of the objectives of the Government's industrial strategy is to encourage the existence of sufficient capacity to meet future demand. Special steels is one of the areas being looked into by the NEDO sector working party on iron and steel. The industry has in hand a continuing programme of investment, and the NEDO studies have not so far indicated that capacity is likely to be a major constraint.
