Mr. Wiggin

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what was the overall cost of the new extension to St. Thomas's Hospital.

Although the final cost is not yet available, the present overall estimate, including professional fees and equipment, is £28 million.

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many patients are accommodated in the new extension at St. Thomas's Hospital.

It provides accommodation for 620 in-patients together with a wide range of facilities for out-patients.
