HC Deb 13 December 1976 vol 922 c559W
Mr. Brotherton

asked the Secretary of State for Defence what is the value of photogrammetric equipment ordered by Portsmouth Naval Dockyard from Zeiss in Jena and form other Eastern bloc suppliers: and whether he has plans for making further orders from these sources.

Mr. Duffy

The photogrammetric equipment purchased from Carl Zeiss, Jena for use in Portsmouth Dockyard cost £18,500 and is currently valued at £26,500; no equipment was purchased from any other Eastern bloc suppliers. The equipment is still being evaluated, and no decision has been taken on whether further purchases will be made from this or any other source.
