§ Mr. Litterickasked the Secretary of State for Social Services, in view of the report by the Government Actuary on the draft of the Social Security Contributions Re-rating Order 1976, Command Paper No.6688, which estimates a surplus of £932 million in the national insurance fund for this year, if he will now uprate the level of security benefits to the full extent necessary to compensate for the increase in prices since 1975.
