§ Mr. Rostasked the Secretary of State for Energy (1) if he accepts the recommendation of the Plowden Report on the electricity supply industry that a single statutory body should be created instead of the existing Electricity Council and the Central Electricity Generating Board;
(2) if he has any proposals to alter the existing structure and responsibilities of the area electricity boards;
(3) when he expects to make a statement on the restructuring of the electricity supply industry; if he proposes to publish a White Paper; and when he intends to introduce legislation.
§ Mr. BennAs I told the hon. Member on 29th November—[Vol. 921, c. 450–2]—discussions are still in progress. I will make a statement when these discussions are completed.
