asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether she will carry out a six-month exercise on the basis of the proposed regulations for health and safety representatives and committees at her headquarters so as to ascertain the cost involved.

As my right hon. Friend told the House on 19th November 1976, the Government have decided not to bring these proposed regulations into force for the time being and are considering the matter further.
