Bankruptcies (1) 50 Company liquidations (2) 80 (1) Relates to both self-employed persons and partnerships. The total of receiving orders and administration orders in England and Wales, sequestration orders in Scotland, and adjudication orders, protection orders and administration orders in Northern Ireland, made in the period. These three sets of figures are broadly comparable. Excludes summary sequestration orders, for which no information about the debtor's occupation is available.
(2) The total of compulsory liquidations and creditors' voluntary liquidations begun in the period.
