HC Deb 09 December 1976 vol 922 c325W
Mr. Carson

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many invitations have been extended to UUU Members of Parliament to attend Government functions or receptions; and how many of these were accepted, and by which Members, between February 1974 and 1st November 1976.

Mr. Mason

It would be misleading to provide details of invitations extended to or accepted by any specific group of the community in Northern Ireland to meet myself or other Ministers of the Northern Ireland Office. It is the normal practice for Ministers in the Northern Ireland Office to meet the widest possible cross section of people in Northern Ireland.
