§ Mr. Wrigglesworthasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what provision has been made on Teesside for work connected with the introduction of a wealth tax; and how much this is estimated to have cost.
§ Mr. MarksI have been asked to reply.
Accommodation has been leased in two buildings in Stockton-on-Tees for staff who would have been employed on the administration of capital taxes, including the proposed wealth tax. The annual rent is confidential between the lessor and my Department. No other costs have been incurred on the provision of this accommodation.
