§ Mr. Trotterasked the Lord President of the Council whether, in arriving at the additional costs and staff required under the Scotland and Wales Bill, he allowed for the settlement of disagreements between the Westminster authorities and those of the regions of Scotland and 192W Wales, including any necessary additional staff at Westminster.
§ Mr. John SmithThe estimated additional staff requirements in Scotland and Wales resulting from the Bill take account of all the tasks which will fall to be performed there. The Government's devolution proposals are not expected to involve any significant staff costs in London-based Departments.
