§ Mr. CarterThe amount of rent and rates owed to the Northern Ireland Housing Executive at 30th September 1976 was approximately £5.6 million. Rate arrears in the private sector at the end of the financial year 1975–76 stood at £4.4 million; a precise figure for the146W financial year 1976–77 will not be available until next year. We are continuing to use all means available to reduce the level of indebtedness.
