§ Miss Margaret JacksonNo. My right hon. Friend made it clear in her speech at Rotherham on 22nd October that she has no intention of seeking central control of the curriculum. In the course of the current debate on the school curriculum and standards we shall be looking at areas of special concern, including English and mathematics.
