§ Mr. Rifkindasked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many complaints against the police in Scotland there have been in each of the last 10 years; and how many of them led to disciplinary action or criminal charges.
§ Mr. Harry EwingI refer the hon. Member to the statistics of complaints against the police which are contained in the annual reports of Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Constabulary, which are laid before Parliament in pursuance of Section 33 of the Police (Scotland) Act 1967.
