§ Mr. Joel BarnettThe Government Actuary's report on the draft of the Social Security Benefits Up-rating Order 1976 gave an estimate of £1,343 million for 1976–77. A more recent estimate will be given in the Government Actuary's report on the draft of the Social Security (Contributions Re-Rating) Order, to be laid before the House on 7th December, which will also give an estimate for 1977–78.
