Mr. Tom King

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if further to his reply to the hon. Member for Wallasey (Mrs. Chalker) of 9th November 1976 regarding statistics of non-urgent cases on waiting lists, he will produce further tables which will indicate the relationship of the numbers involved to the total population served in the respective regions.

Mr. Moyle,

pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 22nd November 1976; Vol. 919, c. 982], gave the following information:

The following tables give the rates per 10,000 population, male and female, of non-urgent cases on waiting lists in the four broad specialties requested at 30th September 1975 and 31st March 1976 and the rates per 10,000 female population for gynaecology.
