Mr. Alan Clark

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department (1) how many deaths have been caused by the actions of persons released or escaped from sentences of imprisonment for: (a) murder and (b) manslaughter since 1965;

(2) how many criminals are currently detained in prison following sentences for: (a) murder and (b) manslaughter.
