§ Q33. Mr. David Huntasked the Prime Minister whether he is satisfied with the co-ordination between the Department of Education and Science and the Department of Employment over the education and training of young school leavers.
§ The Prime MinisterSteps have been taken recently to improve co-operation and co-ordination between the education and training services. One example is a joint programme of pilot schemes of vocational preparation designed to help young people between 16 and 19 who would otherwise receive little or no training or further education.
