§ Mr. Nottasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer when, and on what terms, he is now required to publish forecasts of the prospects of the British economy under the terms of the Industry Act 1975; when he intends to fulfil those obligations in the near future and in 1977; and whether the information will be made available in the form of a Press release, a White Paper, or some other form of publication.
§ Mr. Denzil DaviesThe requirements imposed by the Industry Act 1975 are set out in Schedule 5 to the Act. My intentions for this year were stated in my right hon. Friend's answer of 15th November to the hon. Member for Surrey, North-West (Mr. Grylls). I have nothing to add at this stage on the means by which the first forecast will be published or on the dates for subsequent publication.
