Mr. Sedgemore

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will publish in theOfficial Report a breakdown of the housing component of public expenditure for the years 1970–71 to 1979–80 in cost terms at 1975–76 prices; and if he will give the relative price for housing for these years.

A breakdown of the housing component of public expenditure as in Table 2.7 of the Public Expenditure White Paper, Cmnd. 6393, at 1975–76 prices is not readily available. Overall expenditure on housing at 1975–76 prices, and the relative price effect, are given
