§ Mr. Joplingasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what explanation he can give for the late appearance of the Eggs Authority's annual report and accounts on 29th July 1976, for the year ended 31st March 1975; and whether he can now give an undertaking that, following his discussions with the authority, the report and accounts for the year ended 31st March 1976 will appear before the end of 1976.
§ Mr. BishopCertain administrative and technical problems arose in the first year of new arrangements for collecting the levy and this led to delay in the publication of the authority's annual report and accounts for 1974–75. It should be possible to achieve a much earlier publication date in the future and I would expect that the report and accounts for 1975–76 could be laid before the end of 1976.
