asked the Prime Minister whether he will make a statement about the membership of the Royal Commission on the Distribution of Income and Wealth.

The Queen has approved that the right hon. Lord Diamond, F.C.A., should continue as Chairman of the Royal Commission on the Distribution of Income and Wealth for a further year on the expiry of his current term of office on 31st July 1977.

Her Majesty has also approved that the following be reappointed members of the Royal Commission for a further two years on the expiry of their terms of office on the 31st July 1976: Sir Neville Butterworth, D.L., Professor John Greve, David Lea, Esq., Mrs. Dorothy Wedderburn; that the following be reappointed for one year: Professor Sir Henry Phelps Brown, M.B.E., F.B.A., R. A. Cox, Esq., F.C.A., George Doughty, Esq.; and that Leslie Murphy, Esq., be reappointed until 31st December 1976.

With effect from 1st August 1976, the basis of Lord Diamond's appointment will, at his request, change from full-time to a four-day week with a corresponding reduction in salary.
