§ 42. Mr. James Johnsonasked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will make a statement regarding the amount of compensation to be paid to trawlermen following the Icelandic Fisheries Agreement.
§ Mr. Harold WalkerI had a useful discussion with representatives of the employers' and employees' organisations concerned on Wednesday 28th July. It was agreed that the two sides of the industry would meet to formulate joint proposals for special compensation arrangements and discuss them with the Government. I expect to meet them for discussions in the early autumn.
