§ Mr. Harold WalkerThe Methodist Church Division of Finance wrote to my Department on 19th July 1976 about a proposal to pay an increase of £6 per week to Methodist ministers from 1st September 1976. The advice given was that pay increases after 1st August 1976 should not exceed the limits set out in the White Paper "The Attack on Inflation: The Second Year" (Cmnd. 6507).
