HC Deb 04 August 1976 vol 916 c785W
Mr. Sillars

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what correspondence he has received from local associations about the establishment of a community council for Maidens, Turnberry and Culzean; and what steps he intends taking to consult local opinion on this issue.

Mr. Millan

Two letters have been received direct from local associations about the establishment of a community council for this area, and copies of letters from the same correspondents were forwarded by the Kyle and Carrick District Council with their scheme, which was one of the last to be received, in May of this year, and is still being examined. All representations will be fully considered, but I cannot yet say what further local consultations will be needed.
