Mr. Richard Wainwright

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will list in theOfficial Report the total sums paid out last year in (a) family benefits, (b) unemployment benefit, (c) sickness and invalidity benefit, (d) maternity benefit, (e) widows' benefit, (f) retirement pension, (g) industrial injury, (h) supplementary benefit and (i) other benefits, respectively.

Estimated expenditure in Great Britain in 1975–76 was (a) £549 million, (b) £460 million, (c) £863 million, (d) £52 million, (e) £493 million including war widows' pension and industrial death benefit, (f) £4,773 million, (g) £188 million, (h) £1,195 million, (i) £334 million.
