§ Mr. Nottasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will estimate, for each spending programme, the proportion of the public expenditure cuts announced on 22nd July that are a postponement of expenditure to 1978–79, or later years; and whether there is any other significant consequence of the cuts for 1978–79 or later years.
§ Mr. Joel Barnett,pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 2nd August 1976],gave the following information:
Public expenditure plans for 1978–79 and later years, including the implications of decisions made for 1977–78, are still being considered.
