§ Mr. Ralph Howellasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the employers' national insurance contribution for a man earning £65 per week; what it will be after the Chancellor of the Exchequer's 2 per cent. increase comes into effect; and if he will show this increase as a percentage of the present contribution.
§ Mr. Denzil Davies,pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 2nd August 1976],gave the following information:
The employers' contribution on earnings of £65 a week is currently £5.69. The additional 2 percentage points will add £1.30—or 23 per cent.—to this amount.
