HC Deb 03 August 1976 vol 916 cc735-6W
Mr. Kenneth Clarke

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he will make a statement on the progress of his Department's general review of the law affecting mobile homes and caravans.

Mr. Armstrong

Extensive surveys of mobile home residents, site owners and local authorities carried out by the Building Research Establishment are now complete and the results are being studied by the review. In the light of the changes brought about by the Mobile Homes Act 1975, further representations from interested parties have been invited. Meetings with them will be held shortly. The review is expected to report by the end of the year.
