HC Deb 03 August 1976 vol 916 c683W
Mr. Spence

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will list (a) the gross invisible exports surplus on the balance of payments in each of the last 24 months and (b) the net amounts over the same period; and if he will describe the items of expense, state by whom they are incurred and which are deducted from the gross when arriving at the net figure.

Mr. Robert Sheldon

Quarterly estimates of the net invisibles surplus within the current account of the balance of payments can be found on page 83 of the June issue of the CSO'sEconomic Trends, a copy of which has been placed in the Library. Separate monthly out-turn figures are not available. Estimates of gross invisible credits and debts, together with their main components, are to be found on pages 82–85 of the same publication. Further annual details of invisible transactions are given in Tables 7 to 16 of the "Pink Book"—"UK Balance of Payments 1964–74"a copy of which has also been placed in the Library.
