HC Deb 02 August 1976 vol 916 c589W
Mr. Gow

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what price is to be paid by the Property Services Agency to the Edinburgh District Council for the former Royal High School in Edinburgh; whether that was the price fixed by the district valuer; and what is his estimate of the total expenditure of public funds on the former Royal High School during the current financial year and during the year ending 5th April 1978.

Mr. Armstrong

I have been asked to reply.

An offer of £650,000 has been made to the City of Edinburgh District Council after consultations with the district valuer. Expenditure on the former Royal High School, including acquisition during the current financial year, will be £1,050,000. Estimates for 1977–78 will be brought forward at the usual time.
