asked the Secretary of State for the Environment how many fatal accidents have taken place on the M6 in each year since its construction; and how many of the vehicles involved were (a) private cars, (b) heavy lorries and (c) buses.

The number of fatal accidents on the M6 Motorway between 1969 and 1975 are detailed below. It is not possible to give a breakdown of the different categories of vehicles involved.
